Glenglassaugh – 1973 The Family Silver Private Collection (70cl, 40%)

This is a vintage Glenglassaugh single malt distilled in 1973 and bottled in 1999 at 25 years old, at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It is one of two Family Silver bottlings released while the distillery was owned by The Edrington Group. The other was a Bunnahabhain 1968. The series comes from the Board of Directors at Highland Distilleries, who occasionally authorise a special limited edition of a vintage malt that the Master Distillers judge to have reached its peak.
