This is a single cask Glenglassaugh from the Highlands, bottled by The Whisky Cellar in a 75cl bottle. It was distilled in November 2014 and bottled in August 2021, after six years in a first-fill Oloroso sherry quarter cask. Only 148 bottles were filled.
The distillery's spirit is medium in weight, honey-sweet in style, with a scent of heather.
The nose shows strawberry fondant, peppery warmth, dark toffee and vanilla. The palate is creamy, with plum jam, toffee, dark chocolate and strawberry cake, plus the warmth of red peppercorns. The finish is long and well structured, with rich chocolate-coated cranberries.
