Glenglassaugh – Portsoy 12 Year Old (70cl, 45%)

Glenglassaugh Portsoy is a richly peated single malt aged 12 years and bottled at 45% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is named after the nearby harbour village of Portsoy, which inspires its maritime character. It is matured in sherry, bourbon and port casks, and the peated spirit keeps a coastal character alongside the full-bodied depth the casks add over time. On the nose there is tropical fruit, sherried dark soy, port, liquorice and sea kelp. The palate is full-bodied, with dark chocolate, fermented soy, charred mango, treacle and a crack of sea salt.
