This is a peated Highland single malt from Glenglassaugh, bottled at 49.1% ABV. It is named after the nearby harbour town of Portsoy. The spirit is made from peated barley and matured in bourbon, sherry and port casks, blended by Rachel Barrie.
The nose combines sea salt, candied pineapple and sweet raisins, with roasted coffee. On the palate dark chocolate and sea salt sit under ripe nectarines and dates, with spicy oak and smoke. The finish is long and dry, with lingering saltiness, spicy oak and mineral notes.
