Glenglassaugh Portsoy is a richly peated single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 49.1% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It takes its name from the neighbouring harbour village of Portsoy, which inspires its maritime character.
The whisky is matured in sherry, bourbon and port casks, and has a deep amber colour.
The nose is maritime, with tropical fruit, sherried dark soy, port, liquorice and sea kelp. The palate is full-bodied, with dark chocolate, fermented soy, charred mango and treacle, and a crack of sea salt.
