Glenglassaugh Portsoy is a Highland single malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 49.1% ABV. It takes its name from the harbour town just along the coast from the distillery.
The whisky is matured in a mix of sherry, bourbon and port casks, with a measured touch of peat giving it a smoky edge.
On the nose there is dark chocolate, roasted malt, gentle peat smoke, dried fruit and sea spray. The palate is rich and slightly smoky, with treacle, cocoa, burnt sugar and malt loaf. The finish is long and warming, with chocolate and salted caramel.
