This is a Highland single malt bottled at 46%, and the first release from Glenglassaugh after the distillery's stills had been silent for more than 20 years.
It was matured in a mix of first-fill and refill casks of varying origin, mostly American oak. The final six months were spent in first-fill Oloroso sherry butts. It is non-chill-filtered and free of caramel colouring.
The nose brings toffee, nutty sherry, milk chocolate and honey. On the palate it is sweet, round and creamy, with orange, plum, cherry and walnut, and the finish is of medium length with mulled-wine spice.
