Glenglassaugh – Sandend (70cl, 50.5%)

Glenglassaugh Sandend is a Highland single malt bottled at 50.5% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is named after Sandend Bay, the crescent beach beside which the distillery has stood since 1875. The whisky was matured in bourbon, sherry and manzanilla casks. Glenglassaugh describes its flavour as brightening over time into tropical sweetness with a crack of sea salt, shaped by the coastal warehouses and North Sea air. The distillery was silent for more than 20 years before being re-awakened in 2008.
