Glenglassaugh Sandend is a Highland single malt named after Sandend Bay, the crescent-shaped beach beside the distillery. It was matured in a mix of ex-bourbon barrels, sherry casks and manzanilla casks. The bourbon wood adds sweetness and vanilla, while the sherry and manzanilla casks bring more complexity and a coastal edge. Tropical fruit and creamy vanilla lead on both nose and palate, followed by waves of rich sweetness. A light hint of sea spray and a crack of sea salt run through it.
