Glenglassaugh Sandend is a single malt Scotch whisky inspired by Sandend Bay, the crescent beach beside the distillery. It is bottled at 50.5% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky is matured in bourbon, sherry and manzanilla casks, and over time moves towards tropical sweetness with a touch of sea salt. It is a bright summer gold in colour.
The nose is soft vanilla ice cream with tropical fruit, chocolate and a little sea salt. On the palate come salted caramel, pineapple, cherry and grapefruit, with a coastal edge.
