Glenglassaugh Torfa is a Highland single malt and the distillery's first peated release, introduced in 2014. The barley is peated to around 20ppm, which gives a smoky character unlike the distillery's usual unpeated style. It is fully matured in ex-bourbon barrels, which bring vanilla and oak alongside the peat smoke. The result combines a coastal freshness with gentle sweetness. Torfa was named Category Winner for Highland Single Malt No Age Statement at the World Whiskies Awards in 2020.
