This is a 15 year old Glengoyne single malt from an older collection released in the early 2000s. Its distinguishing feature is a finish in Scottish oak casks. Oak of this kind is difficult to work into barrels, since most cask wood comes from the USA or continental Europe.
The whisky is described as having robust aromas of vanilla and caramel, with notes of dried fruit. The finish is long and dry, with slightly more spice.
