Glengoyne Legacy Series: Chapter 3 is a Highland single malt bottled in March 2022 at 48% ABV, in a 75cl bottle. It honours Sir Arthur John Tedder, the exciseman stationed at Glengoyne who was the first witness at the 1908 Royal Commission on whisky.
The whisky was bottled from hand-selected refill sherry and bourbon casks.
The nose combines deep sherry notes with cinnamon, vanilla, mixed berry jam, apple strudel and pear. The palate is rich and chewy, with boozy raisins, spiced buns, tarte tatin and cream sherry. The finish is light and fruity, with pineapple, dried fruit, dark chocolate and lingering spice.
