Glengoyne – Cask Strength Batch 10 (59.5%)

This is the tenth batch of Glengoyne's cask strength single malt, bottled at 59.5% without chill filtration. The whisky was matured in a selection of refill casks, Oloroso sherry casks and bourbon casks. Together they give layers of spice, nutty malt, honeyed fruit and oak-led vanilla. The nose offers soft stone fruit and baked apple with a touch of nutmeg, alongside custard and Malted Milk biscuits. On the palate, buttery toffee and a hint of citrus peel lead into fruit-filled flapjack and banana bread. The finish is long, with gentle oak, biscuity barley, stone fruit, citrus, nutmeg and cinnamon.
