Glengoyne Cask Strength Batch 6 is a Highland single malt at 59.8% ABV in a 70cl bottle, and the first Glengoyne release matured fully in sherry casks. It combines first-fill European oak sherry casks, American oak sherry butts and refill sherry butts.
The malt is unpeated, made with air-dried barley, and comes from Glengoyne's slow distillation.
The nose shows Demerara sugar, ripe gooseberry and soft dried fruits over gentle oak. The palate is full-bodied, with buttery toffee popcorn, banana and dried fruit sweetness. The finish is long and fruity, with lingering sweetness and soft oak.
