The third chapter of Glengoyne's Legacy Series, bottled at 48% ABV. It celebrates Sir Arthur John Tedder, the distillery's first excise officer, who lived on site after taking up his post in 1889.
The single malt comes from a selection of ex-sherry casks chosen from the distillery's warehouses.
The nose offers spiced tea bread, juicy honeyed dates, ground cinnamon, jammy berries and flaky apple pastry. On the palate are sticky toffee, sweet cinnamon buns, plenty of sherried fruit, baked apple and poached pear, with creamy malt and buttery oak. The finish is oily malt, roasted coffee and a touch of clove, with silky caramel and soft woody spice.
