Glengoyne – White Oak (70cl, 48%)

Glengoyne White Oak is a malt whisky from the southernmost distillery in the Scottish Highlands, in a 70cl bottle at 48% ABV. It belongs to the distillery's new White Oak series. Glengoyne's standard range had until now held only sherry-matured whiskies. This bottling was matured in first-fill Bourbon casks and virgin American oak to widen the distillery's flavour profile. The nose is lively, with citrus, vanilla, crisp red apple, sponge, ginger and light oak. On the palate it is full and soft, with crème brûlée, candied lemon, jam cake, fruit gums and tinned pineapple. The finish is long, with plenty of caramel and light oak.
