Glenmorangie – 12 Year Old Palo Cortado Barrel Select (70cl)

Glenmorangie 12 Year Old Palo Cortado Barrel Select is a small-batch Highland single malt in a 70cl bottle. It is the first Glenmorangie to be finished in Palo Cortado sherry casks. The whisky spent its first eight years in American white oak bourbon casks, before a selected batch moved into Palo Cortado for its finish. That style of sherry forms when the protective flor yeast fails to develop on sherry that was meant to become Amontillado. The release is described as sweet and nutty.
