A 16-year-old Highland single malt from Glenmorangie, bottled at 46%. It was inspired by the aromas of fresh bread and sweet French patisserie, which whisky maker Dr Bill Lumsden took as his starting point.
The whisky matures first in bourbon casks, then in sweet white wine casks, including Sauternes and Monbazillac from France, Moscatel from Spain and Tokaji from Hungary.
The nose offers honey, vanilla and ripe fruit with fresh bread and sweet pastry. The palate is full and soft, with honey, caramel, vanilla, ripe peach and apricot. The finish is long and warming, with sweet fruit, honey and soft spice.
