The Vindima is a 16-year-old Highland single malt from Glenmorangie, in a 1 litre bottle at 43% ABV. It was matured in ex-bourbon casks and Malmsey wine casks, and takes its name from the harvest festival on Madeira, when the island's ripe grapes are picked together for Madeira wine.
The nose is gently honeyed, with peaches, oranges, cocoa powder, vanilla, cloves and light floral notes. The palate has a syrupy texture, with orange peel and raisins, a touch of aniseed, cinnamon, sweet chilli and cloves. Wood notes, hazelnuts and a hint of wood smoke close it out.
