Glenmorangie A Tale of Winter is a limited edition 13 year old single malt from the Northern Highlands, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky was matured in ex-bourbon casks and then finished in casks that previously held Marsala wine from Sicily.
The nose is lightly sharp, with the Marsala note of slightly oxidised fruit, orange toffee, lavender honey and sweet rose. On the palate it is juicy and viscous with a little pepper, bringing coconut powder, red pepper, Brazil nut toffee and sweet malted barley. The finish is sweet and long, with clove, ginger and cinnamon.
