Glenmorangie – Azuma Makoto Edition 18 Years Old

Glenmorangie Azuma Makoto Edition 18 Years Old is a limited edition of the Highland distillery's 18-year-old single malt, made in collaboration with the Japanese floral artist Azuma Makoto. His artwork, inspired by the flavours and aromas of the whisky, appears on the packaging. The spirit matured for 15 years in American white oak ex-bourbon casks. Part of it then spent a further three years in Spanish Oloroso sherry casks before the two parts were combined. In the glass it is a warm gold. The nose has dried fruit, blossom, vanilla, honey and nuts. The palate offers caramel, dates, figs, walnuts and orange. The finish is long, with cocoa, almond and a little cinnamon.
