Glenmorangie Extremely Rare 18 Year Old is a Highland single malt bottled at 43% ABV. It is part of the distillery's Prestige Range.
The whisky spends 15 years in American white oak bourbon casks. Thirty per cent is then moved to Oloroso sherry casks, and the two are reunited before bottling.
The nose is creamy and tangy, with citrus, cinnamon, stewed fruit and caramel-drizzled panna cotta. The palate brings nectarines in yogurt, acacia honey, peaches in cream and butterscotch. The finish is tangy oak and grilled grapefruit with dark caramelised sugar.
