Glenmorangie – Lasanta (70cl, 46%)

Glenmorangie Lasanta is a single malt that spent ten years in ex-bourbon white oak casks and then two further years in Oloroso sherry casks from Jerez in Spain. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Lasanta is the Gaelic word for warmth and passion. The name nods to the Spanish origin of the sherry casks and to the soft texture and sweet aroma of the whisky. The nose combines warming spice with chocolate raisins, honeycomb and caramel sweets. On the palate there are sherry-soaked sultanas, orange segments, walnuts and butterscotch. The finish is long, with spiced oranges and chocolate-coated hazelnuts.
