Glenmorangie Spìos is the 2018 Private Edition, numbered 9, from the Highland distillery. It is the first Glenmorangie matured entirely in casks that previously held American rye whiskey, an idea inspired by the heyday of American rye. The name means spice.
The Private Editions are Glenmorangie's experiments with casks, maturation and more, led by Bill Lumsden. Here the spicy, full tones combine with the soft Highland character of the distillery.
