Glenmorangie – Tarlogan The Legends Series New Charred Oak (70cl, 43%)

Glenmorangie Tarlogan is a Highland single malt in The Legends Series. It is named after Tarlogan, an ancient Pictish king said to have given his name to the woodland that guards the Tarlogie Spring, the distillery's water source. It is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. The whisky uses a proportion of new charred American oak casks alongside used ex-bourbon casks, which is unusual for a Highland malt and gives a deliberately oak-forward character. The nose has vanilla, caramel, citrus and char. The palate is rich, with green fruit, flowers, vanilla and charred oak. The finish is medium, ending on wood.
