Glenmorangie 'The Original' 12 Year Old is a Highland single malt that replaces the distillery's earlier 10 year old as its flagship. It is distilled in tall copper stills and matured for 12 years in first- and second-fill American white oak ex-bourbon casks.
The nose is fresh and floral, with mandarin orange, ripe peach and vanilla bean. The palate is creamy, with vanilla, honey, orange citrus, stone fruit and a touch of baking spice. The finish is clean and of medium length, leaving peach, orange peel and soft oak vanilla.
