Glenmorangie – The Quinta Ruban 14 Years

Glenmorangie The Quinta Ruban is a 14 year old Highland single malt. It is matured first in ex-bourbon casks, then moved to port casks from Portugal, where it takes on depth and a ruby-red tint. The name refers to the Portuguese wine estates, the quintas, that supply those port casks. On the nose there is dark chocolate, fresh mint and orange peel, with black pepper, walnut, toasted oak and a touch of marshmallow beneath. The palate is full and silky, with chocolate, red fruit, toasted nuts and a note of peppermint. The finish is long and warming, with cocoa, spice and orange.
