Glenmorangie – The Tribute Heritage Spirit 16 Year Old

A 16 year old Highland single malt from Glenmorangie, issued as a limited edition. It looks back to a time when lightly peated Highland whiskies were common. The whisky was matured in ex-bourbon casks of American oak. The barley is lightly peated, giving a soft smoky undertone, and the spirit is distilled in the tallest stills in Scotland. The nose brings ripe citrus, white flowers and vanilla, with a little charred oak, a hint of peat smoke, honey and nutmeg. The palate has orange zest, peach, crème brûlée and roasted almonds, with light smoke, cinnamon and clove. The finish is long, with soft peat, vanilla, sweet spice and citrus.
