This Glenrothes 16 Year Old is a single cask Speyside malt, matured entirely in a first-fill Oloroso sherry hogshead. It is Volume I of the Legends of the Picts series from the independent bottler Fib, which draws on the history and mythology of the Pictish era. It comes in a 70cl bottle.
The nose pairs ripe banana with homemade flapjack. The palate opens with delicate tropical notes and a refined sweetness, and the finish recalls sticky toffee pudding, rich and rounded.
