Glenrothes 18 Year Old is a Speyside single malt from the Soleo collection, which is matured entirely in sherry casks. This one ages in first-fill sherry oak and is bottled at 43% ABV in its natural colour.
The nose is of orange peel, pears, almonds and vanilla pods. On the palate, sweetness is lifted by ginger, rosewater, pear and vanilla. The finish is sweet and spicy, with a light pepper note that lingers.
