This is Glenrothes 18 Years Old, a Speyside single malt from the Soleo Collection, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle.
It was matured entirely in sherry casks, 80% of them first fill and 20% second fill. The sherry wood gives plenty of colour, so it is bottled in its natural colour.
The nose offers orange oil, vanilla, pear and almonds. The palate is sweet, with ginger, rose water, pear and vanilla. The finish is sweet, spicy and lightly peppery.
