This Glenrothes is a 27-year-old Speyside single malt from the Golden Pearl Collection by The Pearls of Scotland. It was distilled in June 1988 and bottled in September 2015, from bourbon cask no. 7856, yielding 264 bottles.
It is bottled at a cask strength of 50.6% in a 70cl bottle, without chill-filtration.
The nose offers honey and vanilla with ripe fruit, dried spice and light oak. The palate is creamy, with caramel, citrus and warm spice. The finish is long and warming, with spice, oak and a dry note.
