Glenrothes The 15 is a 15 year old single malt from the 2024 release, bottled at 43%.
It was matured in European oak casks that had previously held sherry.
The distillery's notes describe a nose of dark brown sugar, baked orchard fruits and bright spice, with hazelnut praline, candied orange peel, maple syrup, toasted oak and soft worn leather. On the palate come caramelised pears, dark chocolate and sweet baking spices such as cinnamon, clove and cardamom, along with pecan pie, crystallised ginger and orange marmalade. It is soft, rich and mouth-coating, and the finish is sweet and silky with lingering spice.
