Glenrothes – Whisky Maker's Cut (70cl, 48.8%)

Glenrothes Whisky Maker's Cut is a Speyside single malt from the distillery's Soleo Collection, launched in 2018. It is bottled at 48.8% in a 70cl bottle, without chill filtration and with natural colour. The whisky is matured entirely in first-fill sherry-seasoned oak casks, which give it a deep amber colour. The nose is vanilla, orange peel and nutmeg, with ripe stone fruit, ginger and toasted almonds. On the palate it is creamy, with vanilla pod, zesty orange, sultanas, cinnamon and black cherry. The finish is long, with spice, dried fruit, toasted oak and a little cocoa.
