Glenturret – 10 Years Peat Smoked (70cl, 50%)

Glenturret 10 Years Peat Smoked is a Highland single malt bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle. Peat has run through the distillery's history, and records show it used peat from the Ochtertyre estate in the early 18th century. Glenturret makes both peated and unpeated spirit at different times of the year in the same small still house. Here the peat smoke wraps around fresh citrus, vanilla and light spice, with a touch of sea salt and smouldering heather. The nose pairs fresh citrus with smoky peat. The palate is full and spicy, with exotic spices and vanilla joined by sea salt and peat. The finish is medium in length and smoky, with hints of heather.
