Glenturret 14 - Peat Smoke - Release 2025

This is the 2025 release of Glenturret Peat Smoke, a 14 year old single malt made from malted barley dried over peat fires. Glenturret dates its distillery to 1763 and describes it as Scotland's oldest working distillery. The whisky is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring. The nose combines dried fruit, glazed apples and ginger cake, with a light veil of peat smoke and sweet wood. On the palate are dense molasses, dark oak and aniseed, with peat giving it structure. The finish is intense, with long, smoky echoes.
