Glenturret 14 Years Peat Smoked is a Highland single malt bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle, released in 2024. It marries peated and unpeated distillates, matured in first fill European oak and rounded off with second fill casks, which keeps the smoke soft and in the background.
The nose offers honey, caramel, raisins and light spice, with oak, citrus and a touch of peat smoke. On the palate, subtle smoke wraps around sweet fruit, toffee and malty warmth, with soft vanilla and a slightly nutty texture. The finish is long and warming, with the smoke lingering quietly alongside sweet spice, dried fruit and lemon sponge cake.
