This is a 15 year old Highland single malt from Glenturret, distilled in 2009 and bottled in 2024 at a cask strength of 50.8%. It is a limited bottling in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky was matured in Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso sherry casks. American oak brings notes of vanilla and candied fruit, while European oak adds darker, heavier dried fruit and sweet wood spice.
On the nose there are caramel, apples, chocolate and coconut. The palate has raisins and sultanas, sweet vanilla and ginger, with burnt oak arriving later. The finish is soft but spicy, fruity and rich, with sweet wood spice and a touch of brandy.
