Glenturret – 15 Years Old Cask 5

A 15 year old single malt from Glenturret, bottled by Finn Thomson from Cask 5. It was distilled in 2011 using peated barley at the distillery, which is described as the oldest operating in Scotland. The whisky matured in a single Ximénez-Spínola cask. In 2025 the distillery announced that it would stop using peat, so this release comes from the last of its peated production. It is bottled at natural cask strength, without chill-filtration or artificial colouring. The cask is said to bring depth and richness to the barbecue smokiness that comes from the peat.
