Glenturret – 30 Years Old The Essence of Time (2023 Release)

Glenturret 30 Years Old, named The Essence of Time, was put together from five casks chosen from the distillery's aged stock. European oak adds rich fruit with brandy and ginger, a port pipe brings a deep ruby shade and red fruit, and two American oak hogsheads add tropical fruit and banana. It is natural in colour, non-chill-filtered and limited to 500 bottles worldwide. Tasting notes describe tropical fruit salad and ripening bananas with prunes and figs on the nose. Sweet brandy snaps dusted with ginger and cinnamon follow, and the finish brings red fruits with meringue and vanilla ice cream, shaded by subtle oak.
