Glenturret – 35 Year Old 2023 Release (70cl, 42.8%)

This is a 35 year old distillery bottling from Glenturret, which the notes describe as the oldest working distillery in Scotland. The 2023 Release is bottled at 42.8% ABV in a 70cl bottle and comes in a wooden box. Only 184 bottles were released worldwide. More than three decades in cask have given the whisky a deep but lively fruitiness. The nose is ripe pineapple and citrus with vanilla cream and fine oak spice. Juicy orange and pineapple meet cinnamon on the palate, and the finish is long and fruity with gentle spice.
