Glenturret – 7 Year Old Peat Smoked (2024 Release)

A 7 year old peated single malt from Glenturret, released in 2024 and part of the distillery's core peat-smoked range. It was inspired by the landscape around the distillery. American oak drives a bold smoky character, while European oak adds sweet fruit. Refill casks let the peated new make spirit show through, giving a citrus-led aroma that moves towards sweet, fruity flavours on the palate. The nose has wisps of smoke from burning peat embers, with citrus fruit and creamy vanilla. Sweet fruit and peat run together on the palate, ending in a soft finish with tempered oak.
