Glenturret Eclosion is a limited single malt from the Highland distillery, which traces its history to 1763. European Pedro Ximénez casks form the base of the vatting, and a single American oak puncheon adds a bright sweetness that would normally call for a far larger share of American oak.
Pineapple, fresh citrus and soft vanilla cream mark the nose, with a little spicy oak. On the palate, citrus and pineapple meet orange oil, soft oak and a pinch of cinnamon. The finish is long and fruity, with pineapple fading slowly beside gentle oak.
