Goalong STR Wine Cask is a Chinese single malt from a single cask, number 51N101. It was bottled on 16th January 2024 at 46.5% ABV, in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky was aged in Napa Valley wine barrels treated using the STR method, which gives it a red amber colour. It was made in Liuyang, where the climate allows faster maturation than in European conditions. It won a Silver medal from the IWSC in 2024.
The nose is rich with fruit, with subtle notes of biscuit and hay and the depth of oak.
