Grace O'Malley Rum Cask is an Irish blend in a 70cl bottle at 43% ABV. Malt and grain whiskeys mature in bourbon barrels, French oak and new American oak, and the blend is then finished in Caribbean rum casks. It is non-chill-filtered and has added colouring.
The brand takes its name from the Irish sea captain of the 16th century.
The nose is rich in butterscotch and caramel, with toasted grain and a pinch of black pepper. The palate is creamy and sweet, with fudge, ripe banana, pineapple and mango. The long, soft finish stays sweet, with rum notes, a light touch of salt and a fruity ginger spice.
