Graham's 80 Year Old Tawny is an aged tawny port from the Douro, bottled at 21.5% in a 750ml bottle. It is drawn from very old reserves held in the house's lodges at Vila Nova de Gaia, and matured in small oak casks known as pipes.
W. & J. Graham's was founded in 1820 and has belonged to the Symington family since 1970.
The colour is deep amber-mahogany. The nose shows dried fig, walnut oil, candied orange peel, aged leather and sandalwood. The palate is silky, with butterscotch, molasses, toasted almond and marmalade, lifted by acidity. The finish is very long, with dark caramel, dried apricot and baking spice.
