Green River Full Proof Bourbon (58.6%)

Green River Full Proof is a Kentucky straight bourbon from Green River Distilling Co. in Owensboro, relaunched in 2022 and now part of the Bardstown Bourbon Company. It is a small-batch blend of selected barrels, bottled at barrel strength, typically around 117.3 proof (58.65% ABV). The bourbon is aged for five to seven years and made from a mash bill of 70% Kentucky-grown corn, 21% rye and 9% malted barley. The colour is deep golden amber. The nose is rich and warming, with mulling spices, fresh cider, thick caramel sauce, toasted vanilla, cocoa powder and leather. The palate brings warming spice, vanilla, chocolate-coated peppermints, dried cherry and s'mores, and the long finish has tobacco leaf, honey grahams and toasted oak.
