Green River Kentucky Straight Wheated Bourbon is made in Owensboro, Kentucky, and bottled at 45% in a 75cl bottle. The distillery was founded in 1885 and has been restored on its original site.
The mash bill is approximately 70 percent corn, 20 percent soft red winter wheat and 10 percent malted barley, with no rye. The bourbon is aged for around five years.
The nose has golden vanilla, honeyed oats, baked apple and pear, almond and shortbread. On the palate are butterscotch, peach skin, toasted oak and white chocolate, with a creamy texture and a little clove and sweet tea. The finish is balanced, with vanilla, toasted grain and mild spice.
