Green Spot is a single pot still Irish whiskey distilled at Midleton, in a 70cl bottle at 40% ABV. Half of it matured in first fill ex-bourbon casks and half in refill ex-bourbon casks, and the whiskeys in the bottle are at least 8 years old.
The nose shows juicy peach, young wood and a little vanilla, with clear malt notes, garden herbs and spice behind. On the palate, peach and grapefruit come forward and sit well with the spicy pot still character. The finish is long and dry with a fine sweetness, ginger, pot still spice, unripe peach and a hint of mint.
